Scholarship Application

Kona Hawaiian Civic Club

Aloha Kaua,

The purpose of the Scholarship Program is to inspire academic achievement and to facilitate students of Hawaiian ancestry in their quest to attain higher levels of education, thus improving representation at post-secondary schools and providing them with the academic tools necessary to improve their social and economic welfare.

The amount of the award is determined by the KHCC Scholarship Committee. Awards vary and are based on available funds. Scholarship checks are made payable to the scholarship recipient and the post-high institution and are mailed directly to the university, college, or vocational program financial aid office. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses.

The following pages spell out in detail the criteria you must meet in order to qualify for the KHCC Scholarship. You will also find the application and supporting documents necessary to be turned in to our scholarship committee so that we can review it and make the best determination possible. Please double check all of your documents before sending them to ensure your chances of being considered. Remember, any missing documents forfeits your application from consideration by our scholarship committee. Your attention to detail, timeliness, and quality of presentation are greatly desired and appreciated.

We look forward to the opportunity to choose you and assist one of our own in developing, growing, and becoming a vital part of our Hawaiian community.
